FBI: Iran May Have Planned Drone Attack on U.S.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has warned security agencies that Iran may have planned a drone attack against targets along the coast of California as potential retaliation for possible U.S. military strikes.

According to the warning, Iran could attempt a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles launched from an unidentified vessel off the U.S. mainland, targeting unspecified locations in California.

Former intelligence chief at the United States Department of Homeland Security, John Cohen, also commented on the potential threat. Cohen stated:

“We know Iran has a significant presence in Mexico and South America. They have relationships, they have drones, and now they also have the motivation to carry out an attack.”

He emphasized that the FBI warning is critical for ensuring security agencies remain prepared for potential threats.
